Botox softens the action of muscles by blocking the nerve signals to them. In general, the softening effect begins in 2-3 days, reaches full effect in 7-14 days and lasts about 3 to 4 months. Because Botox takes several days to take effect, it is best to plan for your treatment ahead of any important events.
